Delete your Yalla Bola account
Two ways, and both delete the same things.
In the app is fastest. Open Account → Delete my account. You are asked to confirm who you are, shown exactly what goes and what stays, and then it happens immediately — there is no grace period and no archived copy.
If you no longer have the app
Email privacy@yallabola.app from the address on the account, with the word delete in the subject. We will confirm and delete within 30 days, and usually within a few days.
Write from the account's own email address. It is the only way we can tell it is you asking, and we will not delete somebody's account on a stranger's say-so.
What is deleted
- Your account and sign-in
- Your profile: display name, language, and your photograph, which is removed from storage as well as from the profile
- Your consent record
- Any games backed up from your phone, and your player list and rule presets
- Your device tokens, so notifications stop
- Your ratings and their history
- Your seats, requests and attestations
- Blocks you made, and reports you filed
What is not deleted, and why
- The games on your phone. Those are yours and they stay where they are. The scorekeeper carries on working as a guest — deleting the account does not delete your history from the device. Uninstalling the app does.
- Bolas other people played in keep their results, with your name removed. Three other people's histories should not be rewritten by your leaving.
- Moderation records keep the fact that a decision was made, without the name of the person it was about.
Getting a copy first
Deletion cannot be undone, so if you want your data, take it before you delete: Account → Export my data writes one file containing everything held about you, on the phone and on the server. Or ask at the address above.
